Network Description: “Chase DeLuca, an enterprising 24-year-old, makes his living as a computer consultant, but his real passion is music. For the past two years, he has been living with his parents in their three-bedroom, three-bath, 1350-square-foot condo in Sun Valley, Calif. He has enjoyed his folks’ hospitality, but at 24, he really feels it’s time to leave the nest. He has a budget in the $500000 to $600000 range. Because he hopes to have several roommates to help with the mortgage, he hopes to get at least four bedrooms, three baths and 2000 square feet. Also on the wish list is a kitchen big enough to accommodate two refrigerators, one for him and a backup for his hungry 20-something pals. To make his search hum along, he’s turning to friend and realtor Brock Harris. Will Chase’s search end on a high note or fall flat?” I bought the house to share with my buddies in the a cappella group that I co-founded at CSUN, Acasola. Episode HNT-2811 www.acasola.org

THE SKY IS THE LIMIT WHEN MOM AND DAD ARE PAYING FOR EVERYTHING!! LOL.
The first bedroom reminds me of a motel room.
I live in ontario canada, and 1 million would by us a castle…the first house that chase looked at, for what over 500,000 dollars is defentily not worth that much money. A 500,000 dollar house where i live, could get us a good size house with a good size lot..all renovated, glad i dont’ live in California..lol Tho, i wouldn’t mind it..
I watched a Househunters in Santa Monica CA. You should see what 1 million dollars gets you in that area… virtually nothing. I guess you’re paying to be right on the Pacific. But, I never seen an area of the United States that offers so little house for your dollar. Even in my hometown, NYC, a million dollars still buys a nice spread in Greenwich Village.
I meant where in Mississippi yah jerk. >_>
Can’t you read? It’s in Mississippi.
Location, Location, Location. Money is all about location. BTW, where the heck is Brandon?
Hmm, yeah. But then I’d have to live in Branson.
The truth is, they’re just numbers in a big game a monopoly. The rents = the mortgage here, and I’m sure the rent would = the mortgage there.
I definitely recommend getting into the landlording bus, by the way.
OMG!! I’m so glad that I live in Mississippi. Last year I bought a brand new 1419 sq. ft. home w/3 bdrms and two full baths for $140,000. Do you have any idea what you could’ve gotten here in Brandon, Ms for half a million bucks? Keep that in mind when you are ready to buy a home for just yourself and perhaps start a family.
You guys ruined the surprise! I was thinking that he would choose umm… lol.
OMG, I was just thinking that!!!!
Good thing Chase didn’t buy the house in Porter Ranch, or we’d be on fire. Wait, we ARE on fire! OOOOH! Take that!
